How to make rice water for your natural hair

Here's what you require to get it done:
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup water
Step 1:
Rinse and strain your uncooked organic rice( this can be either basmati, jasmine, brown rice etc.) to remove any dirt or impurities that you don’t want to apply to your hair.
Step 2:
Mix the strained rice in a medium-sized bowl with the water. You should mix until the water becomes pretty cloudy.
Step 3:
Strain the rice, this time reserving the water. Store the rice for later, or cook it up!
Step 4:
Put the rice water in a plastic container and cover it. Let the rice water sit at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours. This allows it to ferment and all of the yummy vitamins and minerals to come out. Tip: Don’t let it sit for over 24 hours.
Step 5:
Refrigerate the rice water until you’re ready to use it.
Step 6:
Fill a small container, shampoo bottle or a small jar, with rice water for application. Refrigerate the rest.
How to use rice water in three simple steps:
Step 1:
Wash your hair with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner (Follow same routine and schedule for your hair wash routine)
Step 2:
Take a sizeable amount of rice water and apply directly to the scalp and work your way out. Ensure to massage it in as you apply. Let is sit for about 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the thickness of your hair. Remember to store the rest in the refrigerator for preservation. The rice water should keep in the fridge for up to a week, so you have plenty of time to reap the awesome hair benefits.
Step 3:
Rinse your hair thoroughly and pat dry. (ensure to rinse the rice water out thoroughly as abundance of protein in water can actually dry out your hair if enough moisture is not retained or applied) You will probably notice how strong and thick your hair feels.
